Sweet Week 16

Sweet Week 16

I told all of listeners out that after free agency started and the NFL virtual Draft went off without a hitch that nothing was stopping the Goodell Express, and nothing has or will. Week 17 is upon us, which signifies the end of the regular season. That means the playoffs, Wild Card Weekend, are just 10 days away. If think something is going to derail this locomotive now, you obviously haven’t been paying and nothing about Roger Goodell. But before we get to 17, we need to look at 16.

It all started on Christmas Day Where we saw the Saints man handle the Vikings and clinch the NFC South. Alvin Kamara made Saints fand and fantasy owners very had with 6 rushing TDs.

With no basically no coaching staff and the guy that runs the research and analytics department acting as Defensive Coordinator the Lions were no match for Brady and the Bucs. Giselle must have given Tom some of that water from a glacier in Alaska for Christmas, because he looked more like 33 that 43 on Saturday. He had 340 yards and 4 TDs in the first half. Take the rest of the day Tommy, we got this.

Rob Saleh may have gotten himself a head coaching job with the defensive scheme he came up to shut down Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense. They held the Cardinals to just 12 points and knocked them out of the playoff picture for now.

What happened in the Dolphins, Raiders game Saturday can be summed up in two words, Vegas Baby! Only in Vegas and only the Raiders can lose the way they did. It was probably the most exciting 5 minutes of football I’ve seen this year. In the end it was Fitzmagic in a relief role that led the Dolphins to an absurd comeback with just 19 second on the clock.

It wasn’t pretty but the Chiefs locked up the #1 seed and home field throughout the playoffs like we all knew they would.

Four WRs in one hot tub equals one in the loss column for the Browns. First off, there is some much wrong and so much that is left to the imagination with that report that they all got Covid because they shared a hot tub. Four grown ass men in one hot tub alone? That’s way too much information for me. Jets win their second straight, Browns playoff hopes hanging like soap on a rope.

The Steelers showed they still have a pulse with their enormous 2nd half comeback over the Colts. What happened to the Colts Defense in the 2nd half were they all in a hot tub in the visiting locker room? Steelers clinch the North.

The Jaguars show the Jets how real tanking is done. They Bears blow them out keeping their playoff hopes alive for one more week and lock the Jags into the #1 overall pick and Trevor Lawrence.

I’d like to thank the Ravens for going easy on my Giants. This game could’ve been a lot worse than 27-13. The Giants have looked downright awful since their win in Seattle. Let’s see if they have a sack and show up on Sunday at home versus Dallas.

The Bengals have won 2 in a row. Beating the Texans and causing JJ Watt to call out his teammates for not trying.

The Chargers didn't blow a game for the 2nd time this year. They held on to beat the Broncos.

I guess the Team thought it was too early to clinch the East. They and Dwayne Haskins laid a big smelly egg against the Panthers. The Team cut Haskins on Monday. Good job Dwayne way to live out your dream for 2 seasons. I’d like to ask you a couple of questions, how good were those wings? Was that best lap dance ever? Was it all worth throwing your career away? Nothing but wasted talent and anyone who says he deserves a 2nd chance, think about this, he was in a strip club without a mask, eating wings, and getting a lap dance after a loss, during a Pandemic. Not to mention the fact that his head coach just finished Chemo this year and has a compromised immune system.

The resurgent Cowboys ended Jalen Hurts winning streak and eliminated the Eagles from the playoffs.

The Seahawks defense stopped the Rams offense and paved the road to the NFC West crown. Goff has a broken thumb and the sporadic Rams are in jeopardy of missing the playoffs.

The Packers blew out the Titans on their way to clinching the NFC North and have them set themselves up for the #1 seed and the bye week if they beat the Bears on Sunday. The Titans may be one and done n the playoffs if they make them with that defense.

Oh my whith the Bills did to the Patriots in Foxboro Monday night. A straight up behind the woodshed beat down in their house. The Bills 38-9 thrashing of the Pats assured them of the #2 seed in the AFC and guaranteed the Patriots will have the first losing season in a long while this season. Belichick was extreme frustrated on the sideline as he watched his inept pair of QBs combine for 76 yards passing. I just hope all of the prognosticators saw what I already knew going into this season, the fact that Cam Newton is done. He’s a shell of himself, he can’t make the throws and has no place in NFL anymore.

I’d like to thank all of you for your continued support of this blog, website and podcast. I am eternally grateful for that. I wish all of you a Happy New Year, and all the best for you and your loved ones in 2021.
