Bryson the Barbarian

People can’t talking about Bryson DeChambeau since the return of the PGA Tour, and rightfully so. He put on 20 lbs of muscle during the hiatus. Going into last weekend’s Rocket Mortgage Classic Bryson he was on an incredible hot streak: In his previous 6 tournaments he had finished 5th, 2nd, 4th, 3rd, 8th, and 6th. That was until he won the Rocket Mortgage Classic by 3 strokes on Sunday finishing -23 for the tournament. That was his sixth professional win. DeChambeau currently ranks first on the PGA Tour in average yards per drive at 323 yards. But ask any golf aficionado and they’ll tell you, “Driving is for show, putting is for dough.” DeChambeau seemed to put the 2 together on Sunday, only time will tell if he can keep it up.

Just in case you wanted to try to gain 20-30 lbs of muscle in 3 months here’s how it’s done:

The DeChambeau Diet

DeChambeau maintains his muscle mass with several hearty meals and protein shakes. Breakfast is usually four eggs, five pieces of bacon, toast, and two protein shakes. After breakfast, he hits the golf course for practice. During that time, he eats several Macro bars, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and three protein shakes. His post-golf snack includes yet another protein shake. Dinner is generally steak, potatoes, and two more protein shakes. All total, DeChambeau estimates he drinks seven protein shakes in a single day. DeChambeau does not count calories. However, he estimates eating between 3000-3500 calories per day, according to Golf.com.
